David Mew is a retired Chief Warrant Officer 2 and 20-year U.S. Army veteran who served as a Cyber Defender and Information Protection Technician. A Thomson, Georgia, native and a college graduate with a bachelor's in computer networks and cybersecurity from University of Maryland University College, he overcame early life challenges—including incarceration and family instability—to become a cybersecurity professional supporting the U.S. Department of Education.
